Kyrie Irving for Brooklyn Nets and Lebron James for Los Angles Lakers score 35+ points each to win games for their teams against Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers respectively.

Former teammates Kyrie Irving and Lebron James for the NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers might not be playing for the same team anymore but have continued their spectacular performances for the teams they are playing for.
Lebron James – The NBA Superstar
Lebron, regarded as one of the best basketball player in history of the game, currently plays for the NBA team Los Angles Lakers. Having won one championship for the team in the year 2020, the past two seasons have not been great for the team. Currently 12th in the Western Conference, the L.A. Lakers are fighting for a place in the top 10, to ensure their place in the play-in tournament.

The 38-year-old superstar, is playing his 20th season and is still averaging 29.8 points per game along with 8.5 rebounds and 6.9 assists. Standing 6’10” tall, James is close to becoming the player with the most points in NBA history and is soon going to overtake Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
Kyrie Irving – “A Bad Somebody”
ESPN commentator, renowned sports personality and journalist, Stephen A. Smith called Kyrie, “A Bad Somebody”, praising him for his skills. What he meant by the phrase is that Irving’s magical handles and spectacular skill to finish around the ring, while being a consistent shooter can be a threat for any team.
Irving is playing for the Brooklyn Nets, alongside another basketball superstar, Kevin Durant. Kyrie is playing in his 12th season and is averaging 26.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5 assists this season. This is his 4th season with the Nets. He has previously also played for Cleveland Cavaliers(2011-2016) in his first six seasons and Boston Celtics(2017-2018) for two seasons.
L.A. Lakers v/s Portland Trail Blazers
The L.A. Lakers played the Portland Trail Blazers on road at the Moda Center, Portland this Sunday. Both teams are ranked 12th and 13th in the Western Conference respectively.
After leading in the 1st Quarter 33-26, the Lakers looked out of place in the 2nd. The Trail Blazers were in the driving seat and till the half-time buzzer hit, they led 46-71.
The second half, Lakers came back to the form they have been in the past few games. Not only did they comeback from 25 points down, but also scored 75 points in exchange of just 41 points by the Blazers.

Lebron led this comeback. He scored 37 points while tallying 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks. Thomas Bryant (31 points) and Dennis Schroder (24 points) also played key roles in the comeback victory for the Lakers. Lakers won the game 121-112.
This win has bettered the Lakers’ record and as they have won 6 of their last 10 games. Till this point in the season, the team has won 22 and lost 25 of the 47 matches they have played.
Brooklyn Nets v/s Golden State Warriors
Kevin Durant’s recent injury came as a threat to the phenomenal victory run the Brooklyn Nets were having. They lost a few games in a row but seem to have found their groove back.
NBA superstar Kyrie Irving has taken up the leadership role and has led the team to victories in the past two games. Even in a loss to the Phoenix Suns, Irving tried his best in the 4th quarter but could not take the team to victory.
This encounter between the Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors, this Sunday, was a home game for the Nets.
A jam packed stadium, saw their favourite team fall behind in the first half. The Warriors team led 72-60. Though falling behind, their was compromise on the effort being put by the Nets players. Nets made a 2-13 run at the beginning of the 3rd Quarter.

A closely contested game, the Nets won by 116-120. Irving led the game with 38 points, with 14 points in the 4th Quarter itself. It once again proved himself to be ‘clutch’ and made important and strategical plays in the last two minutes. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 26 points.
Not only did Irving score 38 points. He also had 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Nic Claxton, with 24 points, played a key role too in the victory.
