Kanye West could be Banned from Entering Australia

Kanye West has yet again made headlines for all the wrong reasons. Kanye can effortlessly pull up the most bizarre stunts and still proclaim himself as the ‘ right person at the wrong place.’ In a recent development of events, West can be refused to enter Australia over his recent remarks.

Kanye has been in news, ever since he decided to part ways with his former partner Kim Kardashian. His rants over his social media accounts have resulted in massive public outrage. His actions are condemned by almost everyone including Australian Minister Jason Clare.

The education minister criticised his comments calling them “awful” and said “People like that who’ve applied for visas to get into Australia in the past have been rejected. I expect that if he does apply he would have to go through the same process and answer the same questions that they did.” He especially highlighted his views on West’s rants involving Hitler and the Holocaust and said “I don’t know if he’s applied for a visa yet but google it and you’ll see that it seems like he’s a pretty big fan of a person who killed six million Jewish people last century,”

The celebrity rapper has reportedly tied the knot with Australian architect Bianca Censori. The rumored couple married in a private ceremony in Amangiri, Utah. Ye was also seen introducing his new “wife” to his daughter North earlier this month. All three of them were spotted dining out in the capital.

Ye was expected to visit Melbourne, Australia to meet his wife’s parents and family. This is certainly not the first time Australia is banning non-citizens from entering the country. According to the country’s immigration acts, one has to pass the “good character” test in order to enter the country.

The country’s officials held a meeting on Saturday to discuss on rapper’s visa ban. In 2019, they revoked David Icke’s visa on the same grounds. Their opposition leader Peter Dutton was also included towards banning the rapper’s visa, “My inclination would be not to allow him in, his conduct and his behaviour are appalling, and he’s not a person of good character,”. Another official expressed his views on Twitter and added “ No way Kanye West passes the character provisions of the Migration Act.”

Co-chief executive officer Peter Wertheim informed the public and said “We had a sympathetic hearing, we’ve made the case that this particular individual does not meet the character test and that it would be in the national interest not to grant him a visa and we set out our reasons in some detail.”

Kanye West’s Anti-Semitic Remarks

Last year Ye posted multiple anti-Semitic messages on all his social media platforms and has given several interviews proclaiming the same belief. And in a series of events have also threatened to commit violence against the Jews.

In the interviews, he said, “I prefer my kids knew Hannukah from Kwanzaa. At least it will come with some financial engineering.” Not long after the same, he posted a picture of a swastika fused with a Star of David on his Twitter. This sparked heated debate among the netizens. The public severely bashed Ye was deliberately spreading propaganda and taking undue advantage of his stardom. Ye’s Twitter account was suspended at that very moment.

Even though Ye has acknowledged his bipolar disorder but fans insist that mental illness is not an excuse for spreading hate against any community. Ye has a following of 31 million people on Twitter, subsequently, it becomes his responsibility to not spread any negative agendas but over a period of time his statements have become complicated, delusional and dangerous and sometimes even illogical.

Some of his most bizarre statements include “This ain’t a game. Imma use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me. I told you this is war. Now gone get you some business.” and “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

Other Controversies

As a consequence of his rants, Ye’s contracts with major companies and brands were terminated. Brands like Adidas, GAP, and Balenciaga dropped him as their brand ambassador.
He reportedly lost $1.2 Billion as a result of the same. His net worth also dropped after the company cancelled all his major deals.

Adidas has also reportedly launched a probe against Kanye West after they received several letters from anonymous employees over misconduct, they also made allegations against the songwriter for “bad behaviour.” A spokesperson from the company said, “It is currently not clear whether the accusations made in an anonymous letter are true, However, we take these allegations very seriously and have taken the decision to launch an independent investigation of the matter immediately to address the allegations.”

The rapper has been in the headlines from the beginning of his career, it began with heckling Taylor Swift’s MTV VMA speech on stage, professing his love for his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, he is now uninvitedly entering the Skechers office.
