The Prosecutors submitted the minute-by-minute events of how Lindsay Clancy planned and killed her three children in the home where they lived.
The case details
The Prosecutors outlined that it was the usual morning on Jan 24. Lindsay Clancy took her 5-year-old Cora to a pediatrician for an appointment. Reports say that she was normal and there were hardly any changes in her behavior while consulting the doctor, and nurse and while interacting with the receptionist. She left the hospital without any worries.

Later on that day, she took Cora and her 3-year-old son Dawson to play in the snow. They made a snowman and took pictures with it. She shared those pictures with her mom and husband. There were conversations with them, by which no behavioral changes can be observed.
The Prosecutors charge that this is the point from which Clancy had planned the events leading to the deaths of her three children, Cora, Dawson, and the infant Callan.
The timeline of the Prosecutors
4:02 pm – Lindsay Clancy researched the product “Kids Miralax” on her phone. This medicine is used to treat constipation.
4.13 pm – A view of the “takeout ThreeV” restaurant in nearby Plymouth is done. Immediately after that, she looked for the distance and travel time on Apple Maps.
4.47 pm – She searched on the CVS website for the medicine and contacted the drug store to inquire. The pharmacist informed me that the medicine “Kids Miralax” is not there, but other similar medicines were available. According to the pharmacist, Clancy’s voice was normal and there were no changes in her behavior.
4.53 pm – Patrick, Lindsay’s husband, was contacted by her by text, as he was in his home office in the basement. Clancy texted him “I didn’t cook anything, it’s been a long day.” She checked on him if he could takeout from ThreeV restaurant.
Prosecutors quote that this is abnormal, as the family would usually take out from nearby restaurants. Patrick agreed to takeout and Clancy texted him to proceed with the menu.
5.06 pm – Patrick checked on Clancy via text about what she wanted to eat. Clancy responded with a Mediterranean bowl and Patrick chose Scallop and Pork Belly Risotto.
5.10 pm – Lindsay called ThreeV restaurant and placed the order. The hostess said that the call was a normal conversation and that nothing sounded impaired. The hostess added that she was able to understand Lindsay.
5.15 pm – Patrick got out of the home to buy the things. After some time Lindsay texted “Pedia-Lax liquid stool softener”.
5.32 pm – Patrick being at the CVS children’s medical aisle is shown on the surveillance.
5.33 pm – Patrick contacted Lindsay but she did not pick up the call.
5.34 pm – Lindsay called Patrick and the call lasted for 14 seconds. She informed me what medication she wanted and the call ended. Patrick said that she sounded normal. Later, he mentioned that it seemed to be that she was in the middle of work.
5.37 pm – Patrick left CVS after the purchase.
5. 54 pm – Surveillance records that Patrick picked up their takeout order at the ThreeV restaurant.
6.09 pm – Patrick arrived home and found no one or heard anyone. When he checked in the bedroom, it was locked. As he opened the door, he saw blood on the floor and an opened window. Shocked, he peeped out of the window to find his wife on the ground outside with wounds on her neck and wrist.
Patrick found her conscious and asked her what she did to herself. Lindsay replied that she tried to kill herself. Immediately, Patrick called 911 for help. During the 911 call, Prosecutors state that they heard Patrick asking his wife about their children and Lindsay replied, “in the basement”.
When the medical emergency arrived, Patrick went to the basement to look for their kids. When the 911 call entered the home and the basement, they heard “a loud scream in shock and agony”.
Patrick found Cora and Callen lying on the floor in the unused area of the basement, whereas Dawson was alone on the floor in Patrick’s home office.

Prosecutors said, “The children were strangled and killed using exercise bands, as they are found in the necks of each child. Patrick removed them and begged for his children to breathe. He continued to scream, ” She killed the children.”
Cora and Dawson were declared dead on the spot and Callen had medical assistance of life support for many days before he died. Lindsay was taken to the nearby South Shore hospital and was later transferred to a Boston-area hospital. She had her ribs and backbone fractured in several areas.
Her lawyer quoted that her lower body is paralyzed and she will hardly have any chances to move her lower body.
Lindsay Clancy was accused of her two children’s murder and suicide attempt. Yet she is to be accused of Callen’s death.
“Based on reports of her recent appointment in McLean Hospital, a psychiatric unit, she did not suffer postpartum depression”, Prosecutors say.
Kevin Reddington, Lindsay’s defense lawyer does not agree with the point and he strongly argues that everything that had happened was because of mental illness.
The final funeral of the children was held on Friday
