An ‘unidentified object’ spotted in the Canadian skies was shot down by an American fighter on Saturday, February 11, 2023. This incident happened a few hours after the United States shot down one ‘high-altitude object’ which was revolving over Alaska.
This was the third object, to be exact, to have been brought down by the US in the last few days. About a week earlier, the first incident took place in the skies of the South California Coast where the American military had gunned down a Chinese spy balloon.
On Saturday, February 11, 2023, the United States used an F-22 fighter jet to go through with the operation in which it gunned the weird thing, which happened to be cylindrical.
The Pentagon, US, said that the object was first observed the night before on Friday. According to the Pentagon, this cylindrical thing was revolving around Alaska, and the US military was closely tracking its move.
According to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the object was gunned down on Saturday, February 11, 2023, over Yukon territory in northwest Canada. The Prime Minister also mentioned that he ordered the blowdown of the object. He tweeted, “Canadian and the US aircraft were scrambled, and a US F-22 successfully fired at the object.”
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also mentioned that the blowout took place over the Yukon territory in the country’s northwest region. He said that the Canadian forces would retrieve and examine the object’s wreckage.
Justin Trudeau said that the NORAD Command was the one who shot down the object that violated Canadian airspace and thanked them for looking out over North America.
This incident is the most recent in a series of mysterious and suspicious air intrusions after the week-long balloon story has over-interested people around the globe.
When Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand was asked about the details of the object, as well as, the shooting operation, she said that it was cylindrical, but she did not formulate a theory about the purpose and origin of the cylindrical object.
Anita Anand did not link the cylindrical object with China, directly, but she mentioned that it was smaller in size than the Chinese balloon that was gunned down on South Carolina’s coast about a week ago but was very similar to it.

While talking about the joint operation of Canada and the US, Anand said that the object was revolving at a height of 40,000 feet, hence, asserted a risk to civilian air traffic, when it was taken down at 3:41 EST (2041 GMT).
Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand also mentioned at a news conference that there is no exact reason to believe that the cylindrical object’s impact on Canadian territory is concerning to the public in any way.
The Pentagon Press Secretary Brig Gen Pat Ryder said that object flying over Alaska on Friday at late night was detected by the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD) and they monitored it over the last 24 hours. He also said that US President Joe Biden was constantly being informed by his national security team since the cylindrical thing was spotted.
Brig Gen Pat Ryder further said that a US F-22 brought down the cylindrical thing in Canadian territory with the help of an AIM 9X missile which was only possible because of close cooperation between the Canadian and US authorities.
But what was the balloon-like object?
A huge white-colored Chinese balloon-like object was flying over the US airspace for a few days. However, after a few days, the American military jets took down the balloon last weekend after it was carefully observed and tracked by the US military.
The US State Department informed everyone about the balloon by saying that the so-called “Chinese spy balloon” was well equipped with items that were without a doubt used for “intelligence surveillance.” It also included “multiple antennas” that were possibly strong enough for “collecting and geo-locating communications.”
The Chinese spy balloon in the US airspace intensified the existing tensions between the US and China. However, according to Beijing, it was a civilian “airship” which was being used for research purposes, especially meteorological ones. The Chinese authorities affirmed that the balloon had gone off the rails then.
