
King Charle’s :
Singers Adele and Ed Sheeran have reportedly declined King Charle’s invitation to perform at his upcoming coronation. King Charles III will be crowned King of the United Kingdom on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey, on the occasion of which a special celebratory concert is scheduled to take place on May 7, 2023. The king had proposed the names of a few artists that he wished to perform at his coronation concert, and the two award-winning singers were on that list. While Ed won’t be able to perform due to his other work commitments, Adele reportedly does not have anything lined up after March.
According to an insider, a team set up to sign up the talent approached the two singers but was informed that they were unavailable. It came as a huge disappointment, as King Charles was keen to see Adele and Ed perform.
Reportedly, Ed Sheeran, known for his popular song “The Shape of You,” is performing at a concert in Texas, USA, on May 6 and might not be able to attend. He is currently in Sydney, Australia, on a world tour. Although his commitments will make it hard for him to get to the Windsor show, he could still “make the nine-hour journey in time by private jet.”

Meanwhile, Adele, who recently grabbed the grammy award for the song “Easy on Me,” does not have any performances scheduled after March 25 this year. She has a performance going on in Las Vegas at a special concert tour named Weekends With Adele, at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace, which will end by March.
Lionel Richie, the Spice Girls, and pop singer Harry Styles are said to be among the other guests who have been invited for the concert. While Richie and the Spice Girls are close to agreeing It is not yet known if Harry Styles has accepted the invitation or not.
King Charle’s son, Prince Harry, has also not affirmed whether he will be attending the coronation or not. He is said to be weighing a “million different variables” as the estranged royals decide whether to fly back to the UK in May. Harry seemed to be wondering how the British public would react to him and Meghan attending the coronation and whether skipping it might be perceived as a snub. While Harry is aware that this will be the most important day in his father’s life, the coronation also falls on his son Archie’s fourth birthday. Meanwhile, as the coronation day approaches, King Charle’s is also facing “not my king” protests against him.
