Cheating has once again rocked the PUBG Mobile Esports community, resulting in the disqualification of two teams from the PMPL-VN Spring 2023 tournament. While the growth of competitive gaming is exciting, it also brings the potential for cheating, which can undermine the integrity of the tournament.

Disqualification of Teams
Live for Fun was the first team to be disqualified after L2FiWhyZ1 was caught engaging in fraudulent behavior during the tournament. This is a clear violation of the Global Competition Rules of PUBG Mobile Esports, which prohibit cheating in any form. As a result, L2FiWhyZ1 has been banned from participating in PUBG Mobile global events and esports tournaments for three years, starting February 23, 2023. Live for Fun was also eliminated from the PMPL-VN Spring 2023 tournament due to disqualification.
The second team to be disqualified was RESURGENT E-SPORTS, with their players, RESDanny2k5 and RESTikk, also found to have cheated during the exam fight. As with Live for Fun, this is a clear violation of the Global Competition Rules of PUBG Mobile Esports, resulting in the ban of RESDanny2k5 and RESTikk from competing in global PUBG Mobile events and esports tournaments for three years, starting on February 22, 2023. Furthermore, RESURGENT E-SPORTS was eliminated from the PMPL-VN Spring 2023 tournament due to non-qualification of the competition standard.
Maintaining Integrity and Fairness
It’s crucial to note that PUBG Mobile Esports takes cheating very seriously and will not tolerate any form of cheating in the tournament. This is not the first time that players have been disqualified due to cheating behavior, and it will not be the last. The integrity, sportsmanship, and fairness of the competition must be maintained at all times, and players must follow the rules of the tournament and play fairly to ensure that the competitive gaming scene continues to thrive and remains a fun and fair experience for all.
Unfortunately, the disqualification of these two teams is unfair to the other teams, who have played by the rules and have not cheated during the PMPL-VN Spring 2023 tournament. Cheating undermines the integrity of the game and puts the legitimacy of the tournament at risk. Therefore, organisers must take strict measures to punish those who cheat and ensure fair play is maintained. It is also the responsibility of players to uphold the rules of the tournament and play fairly to ensure a level playing field. The gaming community must work together to eradicate cheating and ensure that the competitive gaming scene remains a fair and fun experience for all.
While it’s disappointing to see players engage in cheating behavior during the PMPL-VN Spring 2023 tournament, it serves as a reminder to all players to uphold the integrity of the game and the tournament at all times. The competitive gaming scene can only thrive if players play fairly and with good sportsmanship. As fans of PUBG Mobile Esports, we must support the efforts to maintain a fair and level playing field and not tolerate any form of cheating.
