In a surprise display of opposition unity, Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal met Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray at his Bandra home, Matoshree. Together with Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and MPs Raghav Chadha and Sanjay Singh, they attended the visit.

Aaditya Thackeray tweeted photos from the meeting, writing, “Thank you CM @Arvind Kejriwal ji for accepting our modest invitation for a cup of tea at Matoshri and coming along with CM @BhagwantMann ji and MPs Sanjay Singh ji and @raghav chadha today.”
Following the meeting, Uddhav Thackeray and Arvind Kejriwal addressed the media together.

In answer to a question from the Shiv Sena (UBT) on whether the renaming was for Aurangabad city or the entire district, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today indicated that the entire Aurangabad district will be renamed Sambhaji Nagar. “Sambhaji Nagar is for the entire district of Aurangabad. “We don’t leave anything out,” he explained.
The cities of Aurangabad and Osmanabad in Maharashtra have been renamed Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Dharashiv, respectively, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs, which added that it had approved the application since it had no objections to renaming the cities.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections are scheduled this year, and the Shiv Sena (UBT) is seeking to defeat the BJP. After defeating the saffron party in the Delhi MCD elections, the Aam Aadmi Party may be eyeing the polls as well.
Recently, the EC announced the Shiv Senas Bow and Arrow Sign to the ruling party’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, which sparked speculation among the opposition party’s former Chief Minister Udhav Thackerray.
Mr. Thackeray’s party is an ally of the Congress in Maharashtra, which is a major competitor of Mr. Kejriwal’s AAP in Punjab, Delhi, and elsewhere.
