Yesterday Sanjay Leela Bhansali celebrated his 60th birthday in Mumbai with many of his friends and family from Bollywood. It was an intimate event just as he likes, away from the limelight.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, an Indian filmmaker, director, producer, screenwriter, and music composer, celebrated his 60th birthday on the 24th of February in a lowkey event. In a very signature style, SLB celebrated his birthday in Mumbai away from the limelight with his close friends and family. A lot of Bollywood celebrities were also invited to his private and simple party. Celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sonakshi Sinha were also papped at the event. It is clearly evident from the looks they opted for that the event was very minimal with no glitz and glamour.

Even after the party was simple and away from all the glam and glitz, the celebrities didn’t disappoint the audience and served us with simple and safe yet great looks. Dabangg actress, Sonakshi Sinha opted for a breezy off-white traditional look with printed flowers on her cotton kurta. She made her hair in a simple bun an did a minimal makeup look with small silver jhumkas to complete the look.
Raha’s mother Alia Bhatt chose an all-white monochromatic satin co-ord set with minimal makeup. She completed her look with pearl earrings. She was seen in a bun but later opened her hair which gave her look a casual yet elegant touch. Alia, even posted a picture on her Instagram handle as it was also her film Gangubai Kathiawadi‘s first anniversary. The film was released on 25th February 2022 and was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself.
SLB’s newest heroin Aditi Rao Hydari was also clicked by media at SLB’s b’day party. She wore a pastel blue salwar suit and paired it with big silver chaandbalis. She opted for open beachy waves with no makeup. She looked like a true royal princess in this look.
SLB’s most-loved actor Ranveer Singh was also present at the party. He chose a basic white tee and it with denim trousers. Ranveer has done three films with SLB. Ranveer and Deepika, who is his wife are one of the most loved on-screen as well as off-screen couples in Bollywood. The couple has done four films together, three of them being with SLB himself.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, an Indian director, screenwriter, producer, and music composer, born in a Gujarati family is one of the most successful directors of all time. He is known for making extravaganza, big-budget, mostly period drama films. SLB’s films show a lot of Indian cultures and traditions through their music, story, outfits, language, and places where the shooting occurs. The dance sequences and music in his films are usually classical. His most loved and critically acclaimed works till now include Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Devdas (2002), Black (2005), Ramleela (2013), Bajirao Mastani (2015), Padmavat (2018), Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022).
Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also won many awards and award nominations throughout his career, some of them being National Film awards, Filmfare awards and BAFTA awards. SLB has won 4 National Film award and 10 Filmfare awards along with a BAFTA nomination. In the year 2015, he received the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in the country.
SLB did his debut with a musical romance film Khamoshi released in the year 1996 which won him a Filmfare award for Best Film (Critics choice). SLB will be doing his OTT debut with Heeramandi, based on the lives of courtesans during the time of pre-independence in India. The teaser is loved by the audience.
