Screen Actors Guild Awards :
Last night, February 26, we witnessed another awards ceremony amidst the awards season of this year at the Fairmount Century Plaza in Los Angeles. The Screen Actors Guild Awards were held last night to recognize and honor actors from both the big and small screens.
The 29th Annual SAG Awards have numerous categories and nominations for the awards ceremony. The nominations for this ceremony were previously announced on January 11 by Ashley Park of Emily in Paris and Haley Lu Richardson, who recently led White Lotus, whereas the results were announced last night.
The Woman King, The Banshees of Inisherin, and The Whale were among the nominations for the big screen, while White Lotus and TV projects like Hacks were leading the TV nominations.

Everything is everywhere at the same time. Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, it bagged the most awards at the ceremony, just after winning at the Producers Guild Awards last week and the Directors Guild Awards the week before that. With the Oscars just two weeks away, this is going to look good for the film. The movie also received the high honor of “outstanding performance by a cast” in a motion picture during the ceremony.
This sci-fi comedy movie is based on a Chinese American family that is mostly involved in audits and finances, and while doing that, they suddenly get transported to a different dimension. For this, Michelle Yeoh won the Best Lead Actress award, and Jamie Lee Curtis won the Best Supporting Actress award. Ke Huy Quan also won the award for best-supporting actor.
James Hong, the senior-most supporting actor in the movie, presented the acceptance speech.
Hong said that Asian people were not asked to even play Asian roles because they were not thought to be good enough to play those roles but look at all our victories now.
The Whale received the most awards after winning everything everywhere all at once, with two.
There was also a special mention award named “80 for Brady.” Forest Grump actress Shelly Field, 76, became the 58th recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

SAG Awards have been in the industry since 1995 and are presented by the Screen Actors Guild Federation of television and radio artists. They honor both individuals as well as drama, comedy, or the cast of a motion picture.
