Introduction to Deadpool actor Karan Soni and his previous work
Karan Soni, 34, an Indian American actor, has started working across multiple universes now. The Indian American actor, who is known for his work in DC’s Deadpool, is all set to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a voice role in Marvel’s animated movie series Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse.
Actor Karan Soni grew in popularity after his role in DC’s Deadpool and Deadpool 2 as Dopinder, a cab driver and Deadpool’s close friend. He worked opposite Ryan Reynolds.
According to the reports now, actor Karan Soni will be the voice of the character of Pavitr Prabhakar, also known as Spider-Man India, a character in the alternative counterpart of Spider-Man Universe.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a sequel to Academy Award 2019 winner Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), the best-animated movie of the year. The latter was produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures and was also associated with Marvel Entertainment. The 2018 production grossed over $384 million worldwide and was praised for its unique style of animation and for diving into the multiverse years before it became a Marvel mainstay. DC is no longer behind with its “Flash” movie, which is only due a few weeks after Marvel’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Once again, The Sequel is going to feature the same cast as its original, with Shameik Moore as Spider-Man or Miles Morale for the story and Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, also known as Spider-Gwen.
The sequel movie will see Spider-Man and teenager Miles Morales, played by Shameik Moore, forcefully re-teaming with Spider-Gwen, played by Hailee Steinfeld, and a new group of Spider-People to fight with a much more powerful villain.
Justin K. Thompson, Joaquin Dos Santos, and Kemp Powers are the directors of the movie. Phil Lord and Christopher, along with David Callaham, are credited as writers on the sequel movie, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”
Karan is expected to work with the crew, including other voice actors such as Rachel Dratch, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Oscar Issac, Greta Lee, Issa Rae, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Jason Schwartzman.
The character of Spider-Man India is supposed to have been introduced in Marvel Comics in 2004 and came to popularity in South Asian countries as Pavitr Prabhakar. The character is known to have gained his Spidey powers through an ancient yogi. The character’s story of becoming Spider-Man seems to have been mirrored by Peter Parker’s (Spider-Man’s) story in most respects.
The charisma of Spider-Man is spread worldwide, so much so that THR debuted a whole line of Funko Pop Figures last week, all inspired by the characters of Across the Spider-Verse, including Spider-Man India.

Karan Soni confirmed this news of being in this animated piece by Marvel as Spider-Man India on his Instagram account on Wednesday. He shared a screenshot of a news article on his story and wrote that he still cannot believe that he gets to play Spider-Man. The excitement can be seen in the actor’s post and words.
Karan Soni’s work in Deadpool was very much appreciated, but his role in Deadpool 3 is still not confirmed by the makers.
His other works as a voice actor include Trolls World Tour and Strange World. Other film credits of his include The People We Hate at the Wedding and The Four Samosas.
Sony Pictures has set Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to release on June 2, the peak summer season for film releases.
