About the Movie
Tomorrow, March 6, is Jahnvi’s 26th birthday, and she has decided to complete the scheduled shoot of her upcoming film “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi” in Ahmedabad.
This shoot is set to last 25 days. Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is said to be a simple, soft, yet heart-touching movie. The shoot in Ahmedabad has been anticipated as the final part of the film. Starring Jahnvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao, the movie was supposed to be released in late 2022, but due to some reasons, it wasn’t completed then.
Directed by Sharan Sharma and written by Nikhil Mehrotra, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is based on the life story of a cricketer and Bollywood actress. We all know Bollywood and cricket have been going hand in hand for so long now.
The movie will have a late 2023 release.
Past Projects of Jahnvi Kapoor
Jahnvi kappor debuted with the tragic-romantic movie Dhadak in 2018 with actor Ishaan Khattar, directed by Shashank Khaitan. It was Ishaan’s debut as well.
Dhadak was a Hindi remake of a Marathi film, Sairat. The movie was released shortly after the sad demise of her mother, and actresses Sridevi and Jahnvi dedicated it to her as
She was seen onscreen after Dhadak in 2020 in a Netflix horror anthology, namely, Ghost Stories,” created by Zoya Akhtar. While the film was not a big hit, Jhanvi’s role as Sameer was highly praised.
She then played the titular aviator in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil War. To get into character, the actress spent a good amount of time with Gunjan Saxena and put a lot of effort into her physical fitness to play the role of an aviator.
The film also starred Pankaj Tripathi.
Gunjan Saxena, the movie, was expecting a theatre release, but due to COVID-19, it was streamed on Netflix only.
In 2021, Jahnvi kapoor was again part of a horror-comic film opposite Rajkumar Rao, Roohi, which is also a part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror universe.
The film didn’t do very well at the box office.
Works on OTT Platform
After that, Jahnvi took the lead role in Good Luck Jerry, a remake of the Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila. It was released on Disney+Hotstar.
