CBI has sent summons to Lalu for land for job scam inquiry. The CBI will interrogate Lalu Yadav in Delhi today regarding his alleged involvement in the land-for-job scam.
Lalu Yadav’s RJD became the single largest party in the 2015 Bihar assembly elections with a total of 81. He had absolute majority along with fellow servant of JD(U) to form in Bihar government. This was cited as a major comeback for RJD and Lalu Yadav on the political stage of Bihar after 10 years. But this suffocating alliance did not last long as a weakened Kumar ousted Lalu’s party from power and the alliance in July 2017 after the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation filed several criminal cases against Lalu’s son and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
Yadav is one of the first prominent politicians to lose a Mandal seat when he was arrested in the Kurt scam, above all as per the Supreme Court ruling barring him from continuing in office. During his tenure, Bihar’s law and order was at an all-time low, kidnappings were on the rise and private armies sprang up. He was also criticized by the adjudicator in the Shilpi-Gautam murder case and the mysterious death of his daughter Ragini Yadav’s friend Abhishek Mishra.
After former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, CBI will interrogate Lalu Yadav today. This inquiry is to be done in the IRCTC scam i.e. Land for Job scam. Lalu is currently in Delhi. In such a situation, there will be an inquiry at his Delhi residence.Earlier, the CBI had questioned Rabri Devi for four hours in Patna on Monday.
