Pence slams Trump’s blatant action

Pence was in the Capitol when thousands of supporters of Trump headed towards the building, impeaching all the codes of conduct in their attempt to stop Congress from certifying the 2022 election results. In the days leading up to January 6, Trump constantly attempted to pressurize him to overturn the election results of the ceremonial certification of John Biden as the winner, as he presided over the ceremony. His refusal to take action took the Capitol by storm, putting his life at risk.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy provided Tucker Carlson with some of the security camera footage, which acted as a clear witness of the downplaying of events and a deliberate political move by the Fox News host promoting conspiracy theories against Pence. All the witnesses seemed to secure his position in the ongoing debate over Trump’s view of the act.
Regarding the evidence shown, Pence stated that there is no doubt regarding what conspired to be a complete disgrace, and in addition to that, it would be a shame or mocking of decency to present the situation any other way. He even upped his criticism in various social media outlets, mentioning that as long as he lives, he would never be able to undo the memory of the damage, the lives lost, and the visible decadence of law and order on that tragic day.

He even mocked Trump about his fragile ego, stating how he is eager to brandish it by wanting his vice president to sing “Wind Beneath My Wings.” He even took another shot at joking with Trump in response to the documents, mentioning that while reading his classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago, he still found the President’s Bible stuck in it.
He also gave a grave reply to another Transportation Secretary, Buttigieg, saying that despite travel problems plaguing America, he was still considerate enough to take “maternity leave” after he adopted twins, further joking that Pete is lucky enough to have a child while everyone still suffers from post-partum depression.
Highlights of Pence’s Censuring Arguments
Pence criticized Trump at the grand annual Gridiron dinner, stating that President Trump was highly at fault for overturning the election. He further added, saying that his reckless words endangered his family and every person at the Capitol, and how history will hold him accountable for this.
The media popularly reflects on Pence’s remarks as penetrative to the ears in response to his established image of a loyal lieutenant who never confronted his former bosses.
Trump’s Response to Pence

Meanwhile, Trump has continued to hide facts by turning statements in his favor in anticipation of a challenge posed to his authority. He even publicly stands in support of the rioters while still considering bailing them if he gets reelected.
In this tense atmosphere, Trump continues to send fiery tweets calling out Republicans to fight back their case and even questions the legitimacy of the election and Pence’s certification of it.
Overall, Pence’s censure of Trump’s actions is a visible feature of his readiness to fight in the forthcoming election. While Trump had already given an open declaration of candidacy. Pence’s public declaration has put him one step closer to laying the groundwork for his run to win.
