Due to rapid 5G rollout, India was Nokia’s second most recent market during the December 2022 quarter. According to Batra, Nokia would be highly busy in the India market for the next 2.5 to 4 years if the country’s 5G rollout continues at the current rate.

Not only Nokia, but Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, who predicted that India will be the “cheapest 5G market in the future,” praised India’s digital network. He also stated that India has a large number of smartphone users and that the country has opened up transactions on feature phones.
“The connectivity has been extremely good, it is very reliable, it is the cheapest in the world,” Gates stated during a session held during India’s G20 presidency. And the same thing will happen with 5G. There is no doubt that this will be the most affordable 5G market.”

PM Modi security breach: The government will charge erring officers, according to the chief security officer.
After criticism from the Centre for the delay in taking action regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security lapse during his January visit to Punjab last year, chief secretary Vijay Kumar Januja stated that all implicated officers will be charged.
Janjua stated that the home secretary has already moved the file to the chief minister (Bhagwant Mann) for approval to issue chargesheets against the nine erring IPS officers, including former DGP S Chattopadhyaya, following a missive from the Centre last week in which Union home secretary Ajay Bhalla asked the Punjab chief secretary to submit an action-taken report.

Januja stated that former chief secretary Anirudh Tewari has already been served with a show cause notice.
According to sources in the state government, the delay has prompted the Centre to consider taking action against the officials under the Special Protection Group (SPG) Act.
The state government is responsible for giving all assistance to the SPG during the PM’s journey, according to Section 14 of the SPG Act.
