According to James B, Hecker, Commander of U.S. Air Forces Europe and Africa stated, “the Su-27 dumped fuel on the MQ-9 before the collision and flew in front of it in a reckless, environmentally unsound, and unprofessional manner several times.” Russia, on the other hand, claimed that the MQ-9 drone lacked fuel. It was flying close to Crimea and moving toward territories that Russia considers to be its own, according to the statement.
“The US aircraft which was unmanned, MQ-9, lost its altitude and flew into an uncontrolled flight before hitting the water,” the Russian defence ministry stated following the rapid manoeuvring around 9.30 p.m. following Moscow time.
Moscow added that because the robot’s transponders were disabled, competitors were having trouble distinguishing it.
The Russian fighters safely returned to their home airfield without using the unmanned aerial vehicle or airborne weapons.
Currently, the Russian ambassador to the United States has spoken about this matter and, on Wednesday, asked Washington to stop “threatening” trips close to his country’s border.

“Concerns should be raised about the unacceptable actions taken by the US military close to our borders,” Ambassador Anatoly Antonov stated. We are well aware of the functions of these strike and reconnaissance drones.”
How might the US Flying corps and Naval force respond, for example, on the off chance that a Russian strike drone appeared near New York City or San Francisco? Antonov questioned.
The United States argued, in its defence, that the drone was being targeted by Russian aircraft while it was carrying out routine operations in international airspace.
The US air force claims that the Reaper is “primarily employed as an intelligence-collection asset and secondarily against dynamic execution targets.”
