As the QUAD summit suspends in Australia this June, Japan decides to form “a coalition of democracies” with the G7 itself.
The QUAD meeting between the four nations—Japan, Australia, the United States of America, and India is
decided to be held in May 2023 in Australia itself. But it got suspended as U.S. President Joe Biden would not be able to join or present during the delegations, due to which Japan, one of the QUAD members, decided to uphold the meetings and delegations with the QUAD nations along with the G7 members themselves. And this will collectively form a “coalition of democracies” in Japan itself.
Coalition of democracies
The event will take place in the city of Hiroshima, Japan, itself, in the next month. It will provide a chance for global leaders to pay tribute to the victims of nuclear disasters held in 1945 during World War 2. The disaster still shows its presence in the city.

All the delegates who will take part in the event have started to reach their destination. Global leaders like U.S. President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Antony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida They will be further joined by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an important element of the Quad Nations. Further, G7 delegators will edify the meeting for the “coalition of democracies.”
Ideas to be discussed in the “Coalition of Democracies”
Major delegations to uphold during the meet are majorly concerned with the global good as well as focused on solving the global crisis that is undertaking in the global picture. Following are the ideas that can be upheld during the delegation process in Hiroshima, Japan.

The first thing in the coalition of democracies is to discuss grievance resolution or solve the multiple crises that are going on in today’s world scenario. Several topics like food security in the world’s countries, especially taking care of the countries from the global south who aren’t able to fulfil their basic diet as well as provide a nutritious meal to their population, focusing on the topic of global health as a priority by building an integrated health plan to solve the health issues globally, focusing on development by eradicating differences among the sections of societies, and reducing the gender gap to robust resource development.
Secondly, pursuing the idea of a sustainable earth and a healthy planet to hail from It will be majorly focused on climate change as well as climate protection, focusing on energy conservation as well as judicial utilization, with conserving the environment as the major focus of the coalition of democracies.
Thirdly, the concerns and focus on the global south will be taken care of by the coalition. By focusing on the peaceful existence of countries, especially between the global north and south countries, we can have a stable world with reduced tensions among the countries and a prosperous environment for the countries to dwell in, especially for the global south nations.
India and Australia in the coalition of democracies
India and Australia are the two countries that don’t belong to the G7 grouping, but they are getting this golden chance to edify their position in the global scenario. Mentioning India can be a challenge as well as an opportunity, as the country will be hosting the Shanghai Corporation Organization in the very next month of July, which is mostly composed of anti-western countries. On the opportunity side, there will be a chance of global recognition.

All of India needs to have a balanced approach, as the situation is “by choice” and not “a chance of
coincidence”. To be in the coalition. The situation presented to both the global south countries is favourable to them for the global recognition, all they need is to balance out the situation.
