While Mueller’s investigation did not establish any coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia, it did uncover multiple contacts between campaign officials and Russians. Additionally, it revealed a campaign that appeared willing and eager to accept assistance from Moscow.
Furthermore, a bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee report went even further, stating that the Trump campaign posed a counter-intelligence risk to the United States. This conclusion was reached due to the campaign’s openness to foreign influence.

Critics of the Trump-Russia investigation have long highlighted that it was initiated by former Attorney General William Barr, who faced immense pressure from the then-president to probe those investigating his 2016 campaign.
