After former US President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to federal charges against him in a historic court appearance, he addressed a public gathering at his golf club in New Jersey in front of a horde of his supporters, branding the indictment as “political persecution.”
Former US President Donald Trump addressed a roaring crowd of supporters at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey. This comes after Prez Trump pleaded not guilty to a series of federal charges at a historic court appearance in Miami. In the address to his supporters, he branded the indictment as “political persecution like something straight out of a fascist or communist nation.”

Trump’s Counterattacking Speech on Prez Biden
Former Prez Trump launched a full-scale attack on the Biden administration, dismissing his indictment as being politically motivated. Opening the speech, former Prez Trump termed the court hearing as the “most evil and heinous abuse of power in the history” of United States at the hands of a “corrupt sitting president.” He made a comment of confidence, claiming that he will win bigger and better despite the alleged political persecution launched by Prez Biden.
Former Prez Trump reiterated his claim that he had rightfully retained the documents under the Presidential Records Act. Drawing parallels between his own case, he referred to the “Clinton Socks Case,” referring to the cache of audiotapes that former President Bill Clinton allegedly kept in his sock drawer even after his exit from the White House.
After Bill Clinton was sued for the tapes, he had won the case. However, several political and legal experts have drawn sharp distinctions between the cases of former Prez Clinton and former Prez Trump, stating that there is no official proof that the latter had ever declassified the documents he kept. He termed the entire ordeal as a “sham indictment” by the “corrupt Biden administration” containing “staged photographs” and fabricated case.

Former Prez Trump stated that the arrest of a political rival and a former president is the indication that it is “no longer a democracy.”
Illegality of the FBI Search According to Trump
Sticking to his claim of rightfully retaining the documents, former Prez Trump branded the FBI’s search on his Florida residence Mar-a-Lago as a “flagrant violation of the 4th Amendment of the Constitution” in what was an “unreasonable search and seizure.” He continued how the FBI deployed a safe-cracker in his residence only to find nothing incriminating in the safe.
Former Prez Trump listed a long torrent of precedents where National Security Advisors, Cabinet Secretaries, Vice Presidents, and other officials either misplaced or retained documents but were never charged or indicted. Thereafter, he branded “the horrific violation of my [Trump’s] rights by crooked Joe Biden’s weaponized department of injustice” as unthinkable.
Attacking the Special Prosecutor
Former Prez Trump also launched an attack on the special prosecutor trying his case, branding him as a deranged lunatic. He claimed that the prosecutor, Jack Smith, has an “atrocious” record who does “political hitjobs.” He complained about what the prosecutor has done to his family, calling it a “disgrace” and “horrible.”

Trump’s Promise of Retribution
At the denouement of his speech, former Prez Trump stated that he will appoint a “real special prosecutor” to go after “the most corrupt president” Joe Biden. He reinforced his confidence at getting re-elected in the presidential elections next year, continuing that he will “obliterate the deep state” after his re-election to the White House. After his promise of retribution, the gold club rang with chants of “Lock him up” as Trump supporters welcomed former Prez Trump’s call for retribution.
