Gal Gadot expresses gratitude for Hollywood Walk of Fame recognition alongside 30 other entertainment professionals
In a highly anticipated announcement, the Hollywood Walk of Fame selection committee has unveiled the list of 31 entertainment professionals set to receive stars on the iconic Walk of Fame in 2024. Among the esteemed honorees is the multi-talented Gal Gadot, whose star-studded journey continues to soar with her recent success in “Heart of Stone” and a green light for a second film.

Taking to her official Instagram account, Gadot shared a heartfelt video expressing her surprise and joy upon learning about the prestigious recognition. She recounted how her husband informed her about the Israeli press, congratulating him for her Hollywood star, which caught her completely off guard. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Gadot thanked the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for selecting her and expressed her deep appreciation for the honor.
Gal Gadot’s rise to stardom has been exceptional. Before her breakthrough role as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s 2017 film, Gadot faced numerous challenges and rejections in Hollywood. Frustrated with the constant moving of her family and countless setbacks, she considered leaving the industry altogether. However, fate had other plans.
A phone call from Zack Snyder, offering her an audition for a secret role, reignited Gadot’s hopes. Although initially unaware of the character she was reading for, she delivered a remarkable performance. Returning to Israel to finish shooting an Israeli movie, Gadot had almost forgotten about the audition. Then, her agent received the life-changing news—she had landed the role of Wonder Woman, a milestone that came with a $300,000 payday.

Joining Gal Gadot in the Motion Picture category are acclaimed actors Michelle Yeoh, Chadwick Boseman (posthumously), Chris Pine, and directors Kevin Feige, Chris Meledandri, Christina Ricci, and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The Recording category will honor legendary musicians and artists such as Def Leppard, Dr. Dre, Gwen Stefani, Brandy Norwood, Darius Rucker, Charles Fox, Sammy Hagar, Toni Braxton, and Glen Ballard.
Television enthusiasts will celebrate the addition of Eugene Levy, Jim Nantz, Ken Jeong, Kerry Washington, Mario Lopez, Michael Schur, and the co-hosts of the TV show “El Gordo y La Flaca,” Raul de Molina & Lili Estefan. Angie Martinez stands alone as the sole honoree in the Radio category. The Live Theatre/Live Performance category will pay tribute to the late Otis Redding and Jane Krawkowski, while tennis legend Billie Jean King and former NFL player Carl Weathers will be honored in the Sports Entertainment category.
As the Hollywood Walk of Fame continues to be one of the most prestigious recognitions in the entertainment industry, Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, emphasized its unique connection with fans. Unlike other awards that remain behind closed doors, the Walk of Fame allows admirers to interact with the stars, posing for pictures and sharing in the excitement.
The star ceremonies for the upcoming honorees are yet to be scheduled. Recipients have two years from the date of selection to arrange their star ceremonies before the opportunity expires. Fans eagerly await the unveiling of the stars along Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street, solidifying the newest additions to Hollywood’s rich history and culture.
