Kryvyi Rig, the president Zelensky’s hometown, witnessed a tragic event as two missiles struck close to its center just after 9:00 am (0600 GMT), according to Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klymenko’s statement on Telegram.

The deadly airstrike, launched by the Kremlin, hit the hometown of Ukraine’s president, a day after he spoke about war “returning to Russia” following an attempted drone strike on Moscow.
During the deadly airstrike, one of the missiles targeted a substantial nine-storey residential apartment block, causing significant damage to the facade and destroying flats on multiple floors. The impact also resulted in a fire outbreak.
The devastating attack resulted in at least six fatalities, including a 10-year-old girl and her 45-year-old mother, while 75 others were injured, as reported by Klymenko and local authorities.
In the aftermath, Zelensky revealed that more than 350 individuals participated in the rescue operation, while emergency services personnel continued to search for survivors beneath the rubble as of Monday afternoon.
Tensions Flare:- Ukraine -Russia Clash Over Drone Raids

In response to a surge in drone attacks attributed to Kyiv, Russia asserted that it has escalated its assaults on military infrastructure in Ukraine. On Sunday, Russia claimed to have successfully intercepted Ukrainian Drones that were allegedly targeting Moscow and the annexed Crimea, marking the latest series of drone-related attacks in the region.
Define minister of Russia, Sergei Shoigu asserted on Monday that amidst the failure of the self-proclaimed “counteroffensive”, Kyiv has shifted its focus to conducting terrorist attacks on civilian infrastructure. As a response, Shoigu stated that they have significantly amplified the frequency of their strikes on Ukrainian Military facilities.
Earlier, In a drone attack on Sunday, two office towers in the Moscow Business district suffered substantial damage. Despite being located approximately 500 kilometers away from the Ukrainian border, Moscow and its surroundings had experienced hardly a few instances of being targeted during the conflict, until recently when several drone attacks shook the capital.
Post-strike, Zelensky stated that war’s resurgence is gradually reaching Russia, characterizing it as an inevitable and justified outcome.
In response, the Kremlin Labeled strikes on Moscow as an “Act of Desperation’ from Ukraine ,following setbacks on the battlefield. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported that the Ukrainian counteroffensive was unsuccessful and the situation on the front lines is highly challenging for the Ukrainian forces.
Peskov further asserted that all necessary measures have been implemented to safeguard civilian infrastructure against Ukrainian attacks. Ukraine launched its counteroffensive in June but has encountered strong resistance from Russian forces, making only modest advancements on the frontline.
Ukraine-Russia Conflict:-Civilians under Siege

President Zelensky, a native of Kryvyi Rig, expressed his concern about Russians persistently terrorizing peaceful cities and civilians. In the same city, an academic building was also damaged due to the strikes, as reported by the head of Kryvyi Rig’s military administration, Oleksandr Vilkul.
In the southern city of Kherson, Russian shelling resulted in four fatalities and 17 injuries, according to Ukraine’s presidential office , which also highlighted the enemy’s targeting of residential areas.
Meanwhile, In the eastern city of Donetsk, controlled by Russian forces, shelling from Kyiv’s armed forces caused four deaths and 10 injuries, according to the Moscow authorities.
The Russian forces successfully repelled Ukrainian attacks in the eastern and southern regions ,while continuing their offensive around Kupyansk, according to the defense Ministry’s daily briefing.
