The CEO of Meta Platforms stated on Sunday that Elon Musk is not serious about the competition and that it is “time to move on” from the claims that they will engage in a cage fight.

After rounds of online whispers and speculation about the massive cage fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg said in a post on his social media platform Threads, that his rival isn’t serious about the battle.
The public rivalry between Mark Zuckerberg (39) and Elon Musk (52) had intensified after the initial success of Meta’s Threads in July gaining more than 100 million sign up in less than a week.

With almost 350 million users, X is still comfortably ahead of that amount, but Elon Musk has threatened to sue Facebook for “unlawful misappropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets.”
Meta however has denied the claims.
THE ULTIMATE BATTLE
The rumors began in June with the continuous battle of words between the two billionaire CEOs but it intensified with the launch of Threads in July.

Back in June, Musk and Zuckerberg had already agreed to a cage match. Musk had tweeted that he was “up for a cage fight,” and in retaliation, the Facebook founder published a screenshot of Musk’s message asking for the location, to which Musk had responded, “Vegas Octagon,” which also happens to be a venue for mixed martial arts events.
In an unexpected twist of events, Italy’s culture minister said on Friday that he had spoken with Mr. Musk about holding the match there as a fundraising event. Not only that, Musk even suggested going with an ‘ancient Rome theme’
The Twitter CEO further clarified that the ‘cage fight’ will be managed by his and Zuckerberg’s foundations and not UFC. The fight will be live-streamed. Since they had agreed on an ‘epic’ location therefore everything done will pay respect to the past and present of Italy.
All proceeds would go to veterans and pediatric hospitals in Italy, added Musk.
MUSK IS MAKING EXCUSES!
Following these events, Mark Zuckerberg recently said that the Meta CEO had offered a ‘real date’ to the SpaceX CEO. However, the rival entrepreneur made an excuse!
It isn’t surprising why social media moguls are eagerly waiting to see the richest CEOs get involved in a ‘cage fight’. But Zuckerberg took to his Threads account and posted how ‘Elon won’t confirm a date’ as he needs surgery yet asked Zuckerberg for practice rounds in Zuckerberg’s backyard.
Zuckerberg stated it’s ‘time to move on’ unless Musk is serious and if that is the case then he is free to reach Zuckerberg.
MUSK’S “CHICKEN” JAB ON ZUCKERBERG
Responding to Zuckerberg’s announcement of canceling the event, Musk took to X (previously known as Twitter) and termed him a ‘chicken’.
