Nepal Plane crash leaves at least 68 dead out of 72 onboard
With 72 people on board, a twin-engine propeller planecrashed as it was making its touchdown to Pokhara

The twin-engine propeller ATR-72 aircraft was being operated
by Yeti Airlines on a roughly 30-minute journey from the
nation's capital, Kathmandu, to Pokhara
Rescuers had difficulty getting to the site because of the smoke
and the fact that the jet had crashed into a canyon
As of Sunday evening, according to the Nepal Army, 66 bodies
has been retrieved from the scene out of which 29 bodies has
been taken to hospital and 33 bodies were still there on site.

The plane had shattered into three big pieces.
Yeti Airlines Flight 691 took off from Kathmandu at around
10:30 a.m. It lost contact with the airport in Pokhara about 20
minutes later, the Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement
released on 15th January 2023, Sunday.
A spokesman for the airline said that the plane had been
supposed to land at the newly inaugurated Pokhara
International Airport
