69th Filmfare Awards 2024 and Everything You Should Know

The award season began with one of India’s most well-known cinematic events, the Filmfare Awards. The prestigious 69th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2024 was held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the tree capital of India, to honour the finest achievements in Indian cinema. Sunday, January 28, featured a number of captivating performances, including those by Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aryan, Karishma Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor among others. This was the first edition of this award ceremony, which lasted over two days. Technical Awards took place on Saturday, and the remaining ones took place on Sunday.

Filmfare Awards 2024 Achievement:

The Best Acting trophy was won by one of the most gorgeous and talented B-town pairs. Alia Bhatt received the Best Actress award for her work in Karan Johar’s romantic family drama ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, while her husband Ranbir Kapoor received the Best Actor In Leading Role (Male) award for his outstanding performance in ‘Animal’. Six awards were given out for the movie “Animal,” which was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It includes Best Music Album, Best Playback Singer (Male) won by Bhupinder Babbal for Arjan Vailly.

Vidhu Vino Chopra’s film “12th Fail” dominated the 69th Filmfare Award edition. It received numerous honours, including Best Director, Best Editing and Best Film. ’12th Fail’ Vikrant Mesey, who plays the lead role in “12th Fail,” was named Best Actor by critics. Likewise, Shefali Shah and Rani Mukerji share Best Actress (Critics) for Three of Us and Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway, respectively.

Vicky Kaushal took home the Best Actor in Supporting Role award for his outstanding work in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dhunki. For his performance in Sam Bahadur, he received a nomination for Best Actor (Critics). That evening, filmmaker David Dhawan was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. In the category of Best Debute (Male), Aditya Rawal, who starred in the film Faraaz, emerged victorious, while Alizeh Agnihotri, who played leading female role in Farrey, was named the Best Debute (Female). Best Playback Singer (Female) category won by Shilpa Rao for Besharam Rang of Pathaan. Shah Ruk Khan’s another movie Jawan awarded with the Best Action Film.
