9 Year old girl who went missing in New York found safe

Charlotte Sena the 9 Year old Girl who went missing in NewYork is now found safe. The 9 Year old girl went for a camping trip at a Park from where she went missing and her parents informed the police following which the search for the little girl started.
The suspect has been detained, said the authorities.

Her parents had found a ransom note after she went missing. Charlotte Sena who went on camping with her family in Moreau Lake State Park went on a Bike ride but she never returned from there. Her parents after not finding her for long suspected that she has been kidnapped and reported the matter. Authorities searched for her and later found her bike but she wasn’t on it which made it clear that the girl has been abducted. Once it was clear the search for her started.

How was the 9 year old traced?

The ransom note became a clue in finding her. The note had fingerprints on it which led the Authorities to track down the suspect. The suspect’s fingerprints were already in the database which led the authorities to find him. The Authorities also checked all the cell phones that had been in the vicinity of the park. These two factors helped the authorities in tracking down the kidnappers. The cell phone data was helpful in hunting down the Kidnapper.

According to the police once the suspect was identified they checked several nearby homes which led to the recovery of the Little girl. She was found on Monday 6:32 P.m ET.The suspect was taken into custody.

The New York Governor Hochul said that the girl is safe and is in good health. The authorities didn’t confirm where the girl was found and who the suspect was.

The People who were searching for Charlotte has grown to 400. As 34 fire volunteers , Private groups all volunteered to find the girl.

Before the girl could be found the authorities had expanded the search area to more than 46 miles.

The Park from where the girl went Missing is very popular and has an area of more than 6200 acres but it lies amongst hardwood forests and Rocky Ridges. The Authorities said that the park has been closed until further notice.

The Girl is under observation at a hospital although she is reported to be safe and healthy.
