Akshay Kumar addresses allegations on his films championing BJP

Akshay Kumar, born Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia on September 9, 1967, in Punjab, India, is a renowned Bollywood actor known for his versatility and dedication to his craft. In the early 1990s, he transitioned from being a chef in Bangkok to pursuing a career in acting, a decision that would define his life.

Kumar’s acting journey began with small roles in films, but he gained recognition with the action-packed film “Khiladi” in 1992, earning him the nickname “Khiladi Kumar.” Over the years, he showcased his acting prowess in various genres, including comedy, drama, and socially relevant films.

Akshay Kumar is targeted for his choice of films

Recently, the actor is being targeted for the choice of films that he makes alleging that he champions Bharatiya janata party through his movies. Specifically the people are talking about movies such as toilet: ek prem Katha and Mission Mangal. Toilet: ek prem katha is a movie that promotes Swachh Bharat mission and the implementation of making toilets in every home, every place india. People have related this movie with the promotion. Of BJP By the actor as swachh Bharat mission is undertaken by Narendra Modi, the prime leader of BJP Government in india.  

Also, the movie Mission Mangal which is based on the real life story of first launch to mars by Indian space research organization ( ISRO) starred Akshay Kumar as a scientist with other female leads. This movie shows the life of Indian scientists in Isro and how they achieved their mission. However, Akshay Kumar has been criticized for being in this movie for a long time. The reason being that the movie was released under the governance of bjp.

Akshay Kumar finally replies to the allegation

Akshay Kumar after long years of silence has now finally addressed this question and allegation that he champions bjp in his movies. He has said that he makes movies about issues that are worth consideration and socially relevant so that they address humanist issues. He has assertively denied the allegation that he champions bjp. 

He also says that he’s received a lot of criticism for being in movies such as toilet: ek prem katha and Mission Mangal. To which he says that , “ Aisa nahi hai, jab airlift banayi thi tab congress kar raaj tha meaning “this is not the case, Movie Airlift was made when congress was in power”. Also, he’s talked about his latest movie ‘Mission Raniganj’ saying that this movie is also set during congress times. This movie is about how mine workers who got stuck in an accident in a mine in Raniganj were rescued.

So, Akshay Kumar has clearly explained that what matters to him is how big and good an event or a cause is to make a film, not the party that the film will champion. Basically, what matters to him is the betterment of the country which can happen through his films.
