FIFA World Cup 2030 to be hosted by Morocco, Spain and Portugal

Morocco ,Spain and Portugal are among the three countries to win the race to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup. The 2030 World Cup which is to be played on three continents is now going to be hosted by these countries.

The opening three matches will be held in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.

The decision has shocked the FIFA watchers as this is the first time that the tournament will be held across more than one continent and in 6 countries.

The decision was not welcomed by Climate change activists who didn’t seem to be happy with the decision as the world cup was being hosted in several countries and this would mean more carbon emissions and more damage to the planet.Also Previous FIFA season was promised as a carbon neutral event to them but it turned out to be opposite of it.Hence the climate change activists aren’t happy with the decision.

Meanwhile Saudi Arabia has taken well advantage of the situation and is ready to host the 2034 world cup. Saudi Arabia has emerged as a Hub of hosting such big events recently. As Mohammed Bin Salman says that he wishes to reflect the progress of the country in all spheres as Saudia has Emerged as the hub of national and international events organization recently.

What’s new at FIFA 2030?

Morocco will be hosting world cup 2030 for the first time and same will be the case for Portugal while Spain had hosted a previous world cup in the year 1982.

It was included that Ukraine was also bidding for hosting but due to safety concerns it had to withdraw from it.

The Previous edition of the world cup was won by Argentina who lifted the Trophy after beating France in finals on penalties. The final match held in Doha Qatar was quite interesting to watch.

The first game of the 2030 world cup will be played at
Estádio Centenário em Montevideo.

Meanwhile Saudi Arabia too is bidding for the next world cup 2034 in line with the country’s step since 2018 towards becoming a nation to host national and international sports events. Saudi has bagged the opportunity to host the 2034 FIFA world Cup.
