Grammy Awards 2024: History, Nominees, Presenters, and More

The Grammy Awards 2024 will be held on 4 February in Los Angeles. However, it will be telecasted on Monday, 5 February 2024, from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., according to Indian Standard Time. One can watch the broadcast on Paramount+. The 66th annual ceremony will be hosted by Trevor Noah, and awards will honor the artists and works from October 1, 2022, to September 15, 2023.

Grammy Awards: What is it? 

The Recording Academy of the United States bestows Grammy Awards to honor outstanding contributions to the music industry. They were formerly known as the Gramophone Awards because the trophy features a golden gramophone.

The very first Gramophone Awards were held on May 4, 1959.

Each artist is nominated for 2 or more categories. SZA is leading with nine nominations and thus has the highest probability of winning. Most of the artists are nominated for two or three categories. 2-year old Hazel has become the youngest nominee of Grammy Awards.

Presenters

On January 25, 2024, the presenters for the premiere event were revealed. Premiere ceremony. Justin Tranter is going to be the host. Other celebs are Carly Pearce, Jimmy Jam, Molly Tuttle, Natalia Lafourcade, Patti Austin and Rufus Wainwright.

The main ceremony’s presenters were unveiled on January 31. The list of presenters is as follows: Meryl Streep, Lenny Kravitz, Mark Ronson, Christina Aguilera, Maluma, Samara Joy, Lionel Richie, Oprah Winfrey, Taylor Tomlinson and Kacey Musgraves.

Performers

Artists that are going to perform at the premiere are Adam Blackstone, Brandy Clark, Gaby Moreno, Harvey Mason, J. Ivy, Jordin Sparks, Kirk Franklin, Larkin Poe, Laufey, Robert Glasper, Pentatonix, Sheila E., and Terrace Martin.

Performers of the main ceremony are: Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Dua Lipa, Joni Mitchell, Brandi Carlile, Meryl Streep, Sandra Hüller,Luke Combs, Tracy Chapman, Miley Cyrus, Stevie Wonder, Annie Lennox, Wendy and Lisa Fantasia, Jon Batiste, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, Travis Scott, and lastly, the Irish band U2.

The first three acts will be performed by Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo. On January 21, the names of the second group of performers—Travis Scott, Luke Combs, and Burna Boy—were revealed. Billy Joel will give his debut performance at the Grammys 2024.
