Nikky Haley Statement :

“I have dealt with India too. I have got to say, I have dealt with India too. I have talked with (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi. India wants to be a partner with us. They don’t want to be a partner with Russia,” she said.

India relies on Russia for military hardware, according to Haley, who also said that India believes the US is now weak. She attributed India’s cautious posture to its strategic interests.

In a response to a question, Haley stated, “The problem is, India doesn’t trust us to win. They don’t trust us to lead. They see right now that we’re weak. India has always played it smart. They have played it smart, and they have stayed close with Russia, because that’s where they get a lot of their military equipment”.

Haley said that India’s prudence was due to its strategic interests, pointing out that it depends on Russia for military hardware and that it believes the US is currently weak.

She emphasised that the US needs to reestablish confidence with allies like Australia, Japan, and India in order to take back its position as the world’s leader. Haley offered other countries a model to follow with Japan’s billion-dollar stimulus package designed to lessen reliance on China.

” When we start to lead again, when we start to get the weakness out and stop putting our head in the sand, that’s when our friends, India, Australia, New Zealand, all of them will — and Israel, Japan, South Korea — all of them want to do that. Japan gave themselves a billion-dollar stimulus to become less dependent on China,” Haley stated.

She told Fox Business News, “India gave themselves a billion-dollar stimulus to become less dependent on China,” and that the US should start strengthening its partnerships.

According to Haley, China is gearing up for conflict with the United States and is not doing well economically. “They’re not doing well financially. You see their government has become more controlling. They have been preparing for war with us for years. That’s their mistake,” she said.
