3

Three cities down, one to go – it’s finally Paris Fashion Week! So, brace yourself as the Paris A/W 2024 season, which runs from February 26th to March 5th, will feature 108 shows and presentations. Every eye will be set on three key debuts: Seán McGirr at Alexander McQueen, Pelagia Kolotouros at Lacoste, and Chemena Kamali at Chloe.

We already have some sense of what to expect from each brand. McGirr presented a preview of the collection with a series of campaign images that highlight the “feral girl”, a theme recurrent in McQueen’s world. Kamali, a German designer who already logged two stints at Chloé, teased her collection with a gallery filled with portraits of women “who embody the history and spirit” of Chloé, notably Natalia Vodianova, Jerry Hall, and Liya Kebede.

Other highlights will include the mega brands Paris is popularly known for: Dior, Chanel, Valentino, Loewe, Hermès, and Balenciaga, plus other much-anticipated shows like Miu Miu,  Courrèges, and Rick Owens.

Newcomers include CFCL, which stands for “Clothing for Contemporary Life”, by Yusuke Takahashi, the former menswear designer at Issey Miyake.

At Sphere, the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s (FHCM) showroom that supports emerging design talents, Charles de Vilmorin will be presenting his first ready-to-wear collection after exiting Rochas last year.
