US-India relations will ascend like Chandrayaan, says EAM Jaishankar, forecasting extraordinary growth

According to S. Jaishankar, minister of External Affairs, the India-U.S. connections are at a record peak and the Modi administration plans to take it to a new level. He also emphasized that, like the Chandrayaan, the two countries’ connections will reach to the moon and possibly beyond.

Several hundred Indian Americans from throughout the U.S. had gathered at the India House to attend the event called “Celebrating Colors of Friendship” on Saturday when Mr. Jaishankar made his remarks.
Today’s message is very clear: Our connection is at a record-breaking level. You aren’t seen nothing yet, according to what people say in America. Thus, he stated at the India House that we intend to take this connection to another dimension, to another domain.

According to Mr. Jaishankar, the United States’ assistance was essential to the G-20’s success. “Being the host, I receive recognition when things go well and proceed smoothly. However, if none of the G-20’s members had worked to ensure its success, the G-20 would not have come together”, he added.

Mr. Jaishankar stated, “I think particularly, I must admit that I would definitely enjoy acknowledging in public in Washington DC the contributions, the backing and the comprehension that we had from the United States to achieve a successful G-20.

“So, while it might be considered our success in the strictest sense, I believe it was the success of the G-20. It seemed to me that the India-US collaboration had also been successful. Please continue to provide this relationship with the backing it needs, deserves, and expects. And I can assure you that, like the Chandrayaan, this partnership will last to the moon and perhaps even beyond,” he remarked. According to Mr. Jaishankar, the human connection between the two nations is what distinguishes their bilateral relationship.

“Countries trade with one another. Politics is conducted between nations. They share cultures, participate in exercises, and have military links. But when two nations share such a strong human connection, the game changes entirely. That is currently what distinguishes our relationship”, he noted.

He asserted that the diaspora has made an incredible contribution to the development of the two countries’ relationship. “Words cannot adequately express it. We are looking forward to a new optimism on the horizon today on the basis of that foundation. Therefore, in my opinion, there are some truly amazing possibilities on the horizon, and the community is what will make them a reality”, according to Mr. Jaishankar.

The Minister claimed that India as a nation currently is distinct from past India. “It is an India that was capable to carry out the greatest spectacle of the G-20 and established those who said we will not be able to get twenty governments, I do not want to refer to disputing countries, but twenty nations who have various positions of power, to sit down around the conference collectively,” he added. “India, during the COVID-19 pandemic, showed it could not only protect its citizens but also assist over a hundred countries globally”, he said.

The quickest deployment of 5G currently underway is in India. In many ways, he remarked, “I want to emphasize there are very excellent reasons if there is a bounce within our movements, a confidence in our words, and a kind of straightening of our shoulders. “After a decade of hard work, what we’ve built today shows remarkable growth in several areas”, he said.
